Royal Mail delivery option is not a guaranteed delivery day service.
We use professional couriers or the Royal Mail who will handle your delivery with care and attention.
Our courier orders are tracked in transit. We require the email address and mobile number for the recipient, this way the courier will be able to contact the recipient before delivery, to inform them of the one hour delivery slot for their hamper. This will allow the recipient to make alternative arrangements if the proposed slot is not convenient.
If you have given us an email address we will send you the tracking number when we ship your hamper so you can track it.
Please use the courier's website to track progress and contact them in the first instance if there are any delivery issues.
Royal Mail Option.
If your order is not time critical i.e. hampers that do not contain perishable items, you may select your order to be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class. This is a lower cost option but please bear in mind that this is not a tracked service. If your order is suitable, this option will be available to you at the checkout stage. Royal Mail is not a next day or preferred delivery option.
How quickly will my order arrive?
All orders received before 10am Monday to Thursday will be dispatched for next working day delivery unless a preferred date is specified.
Orders placed after 10am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday , unless courier delivery is selected, will be dispatched on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays when they will be dispatched on Tuesday). As hampers often contain chilled items they cannot be dispatched on a Friday for Monday delivery as they would be held in a depot over the weekend.
Please note: Orders need to be received by 10am on Fridays for weekend deliveries and next working day Monday Deliveries.
Weekend Saturday Delivery
Weekend Saturday delivery is available at £13.95. Orders need to be placed by 10am on the Friday at the latest. Please ensure there is someone available to sign for the hamper or make alternative arrangements for delivery, i.e. to a neighbour.
Can I request a delivery date?
For those special occasions we can deliver your order on a date of your choice available by courier delivery option only. (please see above regarding weekend delivery). Please specify this when you complete your order. We will make every effort to ensure your order is delivered on time but occasionally deliveries may be delayed due to adverse weather or other conditions beyond our control for which we will not be held responsible.
Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and the Islands
It takes longer to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland so we can only deliver hampers containing non perishable items to these areas. This may take up to 3 working days. There is also an additional charge for these areas.
We cannot currently deliver overseas including Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man and Scottish Islands.
Many of our hamper contents come from small scale artisan producers. We do our best to keep stock figures up to date but during periods of high demand it may be necessary to substitute an item. In these cases the item will be of a similar type and value.
Fresh & Frozen Produce
We send Clotted Cream frozen and use an overnight courier service or First Class Royal Mail for delivery so it should arrive in a chilled condition. However we advise that someone be available to receive hampers containing dairy products in order that they can be placed in a refrigerator as soon as possible. All hampers containing these products will have a notice on the outer carton to this effect. However if for any reason the hampers has to be returned to a depot over night we are unable to guarantee the condition of these products.
A signature will be required on delivery unless you have given alternative instructions or you are using Royal Mail.
If the package cannot be delivered, a card will be left advising the recipient to contact the courier. In the unlikely event that the delivery is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control Devon Hampers cannot accept responsibility. Nor can we be held responsible if incorrect delivery information is given, premises are closed when delivery is attempted and we were not informed of opening times or the recipient is out or away.
The couriers are responsible for goods in transit but if for any reason our couriers misplace a parcel, we will offer you a complete refund or replacement.
Please note that some hampers contain alcohol and that alcohol is sold via this site. The minimum age for buying alcohol is 18 and it is illegal to buy alcohol if under this age and also illegal to buy it for those under 18.
