How nice a savoury version - cream tea so to speak. Went down like a treat and packaged well to make it feel like a lovely gift. Heard they tasted lovely too.
Sending a gift from Canada I spent a weekend researching All the Cream Tea delivery companies in England, and I found Devon's to be the best in a lot of ways. The fresh baked scones didn't look overworked or factory made. (Some looked more like English Muffins than scones.) The pastry looked fresh and delicious. What was impressive was the large array of hamper options to choose from. -Which also made it hard to choose, as I whittled it down to two. Then I found the create you own hamper tab, -which other companies didn't have. It was a lot of fun creating a special basket tailored just for my Aunt, mainly because there was so much to choose from. I was worried that it may be to far for delivery, my Aunt being in Kent, but they delivered on their promise for fresh same day delivery. She got it early afternoon. She Loved it. She really liked everything, but especially the fluffy fresh scones, (I got her both the plain and raisin.) as well as the Pain axu Raisin pastry, which she said was light , flakey and packed with raisins. And on the savory side she said that the Traditional Pork Pie was really good as well as filling, but she also really enjoyed the Chunk Devon Steak & Ale Pie, and couldn't believe how much meat there was, -more than most she's had. When you send things overseas you never know what they will end up receiving at the other end, but I was Not disappointed with the outcome. I Know I made the right choice with Devon Hampers. -A big thank you to Adam who helped me keep it anonymous, so I could have a little fun with her.
My son in law is coeliac. I have attempted to make gluten free scones but without success. He reported that he really enjoyed these. They arrived well packed and when scheduled. Very pleased. Would recommend.

I have used Devon hampers before but on this occasion I needed delivery on a specific date as my brother was not going to be home for a few days after the date requested. The delivery was a day late so not received until 5 days later. I got a written apology but that was all when I contacted the company. Just slightly disappointed
